On Friday, April 20, staff will be posting informational signs along Bear Creek in Garrett County, which has tested positive for the parasite known to cause the disease.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Southern Division boater Jamie Horton, 39, from Centerville, Ala., is one step closer to “Living the Dream” after catching five bass weighing 15 pounds, 13 ounces on opening day of The Bass Federation National Championship presented by the National Guard Thursday on Lake Wylie. The catch was the heaviest of the tournament, giving Horton a 9-ounce lead over Northern Division rival Doug Blank of Fort Atkinson, Wis., in the race to win a $100,000 prize package that includes berths into two of the sport’s most coveted events – the $2 million Forest Wood Cup and the $1 million BFL All-American.
