The 22-pound, 4-ounce largemouth bass caught June 2, 1932, by George W. Perry on Georgia’s Montgomery Lake has managed to hold onto its world-record status for 75 years, despite the pursuit of millions of anglers. A ceremony celebrating the anniversary of the amazing catch was recently held at what remains of Montgomery Lake.
