Severe drought conditions that continue to persist in northeastern Minnesota have prompted new fire restrictions from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
Until further notice, campfires and use of charcoal grills are banned or restricted in state parks, state forest recreation areas and waysides in Cook, Lake and St. Louis counties due to extremely high fire danger.
