I did manage to get offshore, but the water temperature is still a bit chilly for dolphin. I did not find any at all.
I came back in to the beach and ran the beach for a couple of hours looking for manta rays and cobia. Once again – no luck.  The rays that were there last week have gone – at least for today.
But on the way back into the St Augustine Inlet, I came upon this group of manatee (sea cows) floating around right in the middle of the channel. There were seven smaller ones all grabbing and riding one very large one. It’s hard to tell from the picture how many there are.
