WHAT: The Department of Fish and Game’s Office of Spill Prevention and Response (OSPR) and the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Mineral Management Service (MMS) will be conducting an evaluation of new remote oil spill mapping and detection technology. The evaluation will include an introductory briefing at the Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol facility, a short boat ride to Coal Oil Point to observe a simulated oil spill response using the technology, a debriefing and a question-and-answer session.
