With fishing season soon aproaching on April 15th/2007 and the colder weather that we are having is keeping the river ice solid for the start of the season. There are a few places that you can wet a line in the smaller rivers like the Cains and Bartholomew river. The South West Miramichi has a few spots open but only a few! The North West Miramichi is still frozen solid with very heavy looking ice.We need some warmer weather or rain to raise the river to get the ice moving. (Read more)
