As spring approaches, parts of Whitewater State Park in southeastern Minnesota are being restored and will soon be open for use.
Last August, a flash flood caused more than $4 million in damages to the park’s infrastructure including roads, bridges, campgrounds, group camps, picnic areas, trails and stream crossings. Flood recovery efforts are underway and will continue through the summer.
