The workshops are Jan. 22 at the Spirit Lake Casino in Devils Lake; Feb. 26 at the Gladstone Inn in Jamestown; and March 12 at the Airport International Inn in Williston.

The annual mid-winter bald eagle survey conducted Jan. 6 along the Missouri River from Bismarck to the Garrison Dam revealed 44 bald eagles, according to Patrick T. Isakson, nongame biologist for the North Dakota Game and Fish Department.

ALAMOSA, Colo. — The Colorado Division of Wildlife will hold a public meeting to provide an update about ongoing work in the San Luis Valley for the conservation of the Gunnison’s prairie dog. The meeting is scheduled for Jan. 19 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Inn of the Rio Grande in Alamosa. The Inn of the Rio Grande is located at 333 Santa Fe Avenue, also known as Colo. Highway 160.

Harrisburg – State officials have announced that there are currently no new fish consumption advisories for Crawford County’s Pymatuning Reservoir or Tamarack Lake for 2011.
The fish in Pymatuning Reservoir are safe to eat when consumed according to the recommended statewide advisory of one meal per week. Tamarack Lake continues under an advisory of one meal per month for muskellunge and two meals per month for walleye due to mercury contamination.
