The Alabama Conservation and Natural Resources Commissioner has reopened all ADCNR boat ramps on Lake Martin. Alabama Power Company has also reopened their boat ramps.
Commissioner N. Gunter Guy Jr. cautioned boaters to watch for debris in the water as there are still large pieces floating in the lake. “We don’t want to impede anyone’s enjoyment of the water, but they need to exercise caution when boating on the lake,” he said. Marine Police and other ADCNR law enforcement will continue to have an increased presence in the area to monitor boating safety and any suspicious activity.

EUFAULA, Alabama – Straight Talk pro Scott Canterbury of Springville, Alabama, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 14 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday to lead wire-to-wire and win the EverStart Series Southeast Division event on Lake Eufaula with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 55 pounds, 15 ounces. For his victory, Canterbury earned $34,090 and a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard motor.

EUFAULA, Alabama – The Georgia Southern team of Jed Thigpen of Waycross, and Wesley Maples of Statesboro, won the National Guard FLW College Fishing Southeast Division event on Lake Eufaula Saturday with five bass weighing 10 pounds, 14 ounces. The victory earned the team $10,000 to be split between the university and the university’s bass fishing club – $7,500 for the bass club and $2,500 for their school. The win also helped them advance to the Southeast Division Regional Championship.
