WELCH, Minnesota – Sgt. Mogan of Fairbault, Minnesota, and Sgt. Bonzer of Winona, Minnesota, won the FLW Walleye National Guard Soldier Appreciation Tournament held on the Mississippi River Tuesday, May 18, 2010. The team, fishing with pro Bill Shimota of Lonsdale, Minn., caught three walleyes for a total of 10 pounds, 12 ounces to take the title and bragging rights amongst their peers.

(May 18, 2010) – Captain Chris Morelli, of Clearwater, Florida, and Kurt Shader, of Brandon, Florida, weighed in a two-redfish limit that totaled 14.07 pounds to win the IFA Redfish Tour event at Sarasota, Florida, on May 15. Morelli and Shader bested the entire field of two-angler teams to take home Rapala Big Fish honors, the Cabela’s Angler Cash award and a decked-out Ranger Banshee Extreme valued at $30,000.

(May 18, 2010) – Cameron Schurlknight, of Venice, Louisiana, caught a redfish and speckled sea trout totaling 53.5 inches in length to secure a win in the IFA Kayak Tour Presented by Hobie Fishing at Sarasota on May 16. The event was the ninth regular-season event overall and second in the Florida West Division for the first-year fishing tour.
