Many spent this Father’s Day out fishing off the coast of the sunshine state. We found families from Alabama, Moultrie and Thomasville Georgia all out with their rods and reels catching fish, and soaking up the sun out along the coast.

SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. – The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, in cooperation with the West Virginia Professional Outfitters Association (WVPRO), stocked 1,000 pounds of rainbow trout in the Summersville Dam tailwater of the Gauley River on June 21. The goal of the stocking is to enhance trout fishing opportunities in the Gauley River, especially in the remote canyon section of the Gauley River, according to Frank Jezioro, DNR Director.

When you’re spending a day at the ocean and you love to fish, why not combine the two of them in one outing? Fishing from the beach is only different in scope from river or lake fishing as everything in the gulf or ocean is bigger.
