Sweet Valley, PA – The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission will be instructing a Family Fishing Program at the Luzerne County River Common on Wednesday July 7th. The program will be held from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. This program is being offered in partnership with the River Common (www. rivercommon.org), the City of Wilkes-Barre (www.wilkes-barre.pa.us) and the Luzerne County Keystone Active Zone (KAZ) Passport program (www.kazpassport.org).

It’s as simple as attending a walk or one of the many programming activities offered across the state. Beech Fork State Park Summer Naturalist Sarah Miloski is doing things a bit differently because, while leading guests in exploring the outdoors in the guise of summer fun, she is also incorporating Cornell University Entomology Department’s “Lost Ladybug Project” into her interpretative programming.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. – It’s now easier to search for and find articles from past issues of Wonderful West Virginia. The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, which publishes the monthly full-color magazine, has completed a lengthy project to convert the publications to an electronic format and make them available online. Now it’s easy to view articles going back as far as 1936 when it was called West Virginia Conservation and later, Outdoor West Virginia.
