WHAT: Josh Busby of Rogersville, Mo., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 3 ounces Saturday, July 10, 2010 to win $5,113 in the FLW BFL Ozark Division tournament on Truman Lake. Busby was fishing near the dam with a 10 inch worm on a Carolina rig to catch his limit.

The Sharkfin “fins” are tapered underneath much like the wing of an airplane. So as the line exits the spool during the cast there is the least amount of friction on the line as possible. Line exiting the Sharkfin spool during casting is near silent – while on a standard round spool you will hear the definite sound of friction.

Many bass fishermen use scents on their baits. Do they help? I use them at times. My favorite is JJs Magic, a dip and dye that gives plastic baits a strong garlic scent.
