With all the fishing closures and the ongoing blog discussions, I thought I would relate a true story that happened to me. I was headed out before daybreak and ran into an amazing situation. It seems that a gill net had been run parallel to and adjacent to the jetties that run for a mile into the Atlantic at the mouth of the St Johns River in Florida. I know it was a gill net, because it got entangled with a few of the sharp rocks and was torn in several places, leaving remnants on the rocks.
