Woodland — One of northern Utah’s most popular mountain reservoirs has reopened to fishing.
Repairs on the dam at Mill Hollow Reservoir have been completed. And the reservoir has enough water in it now that the Division of Wildlife Resources has been able to stock it again with fish.

Minnetonka, Minnesota – The Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit (MWC) is headed east to take on the New York waters of Lake Erie out of Dunkirk,New York, August 21 through 23. This is the second year in a row the MWC has held a tournament out of Dunkirk and the third time in five years. “This section of the lake produces terrific fishing this time of year. All the fish that are around the islands of the Sandusky, Ohio area earlier in the year move east throughout the summer and we find some very large schools of fish in this water,” shared Denis Kreze of nearby Ridgeway, Ontario. “I expect it will take about 60 pounds of fish over the two day event to win it.”

LIZELLA, GEORGIA – Redfish anglers from Florida, the Gulf Coast region and surrounding areas will converge on Ruskin, Florida, on August 22 for the final Florida West Coast Division event of the 2009 IFA Redfish Tour regular season. The event, hosted by Pirate’s Pointe Resort and Little Harbor, is the third regular-season tournament for the division – one of six divisions in the IFA Redfish Tour, which operates tournaments from the Carolinas to Texas.

THE DALLES, Ore. – The lower Deschutes River will reopen for chinook salmon fishing on Aug. 1 under a temporary rule adopted by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
The river will be open for chinook from the mouth at the I-84 bridge upstream to Sherars Falls. The daily catch limit will be two adult and five jack salmon per day. (Jack salmon are chinook 15-24 inches long.) Adipose fin-clipped (hatchery) steelhead are included in the daily salmon catch limit, although one additional hatchery steelhead may be retained per day for a total of three fish.
