The reported 54 fatalities represent a 30-percent reduction from the 2007 statistics. While this is a step in the right direction, boaters shouldn’t let their guard down, according to the FWC.

The bill, developed out of recommendations from the Oyster Advisory Commission, is another one of Governor O’Malley’s Smart, Green and Growing initiatives from the 2009 Legislative Assembly.

Their second day smoker, coupled with the 38.87 scaled by the Mercury powered Fountain team on day one, gave the “On the Brink” a 97.45 two fish aggregate to capture the $40,000 cash prize as well as a boat load of Raymarine electronics. They also picked up an additional $10,000 cash prize in the local Francis Langford Memorial event.
