SALISBURY, North Carolina – Spence Brunson of Salisbury, North Carolina, won the Walmart Bass Fishing League® North Carolina Division tournament on High Rock Lake Saturday with a five-bass catch weighing 22 pounds, 1 ounce. The victory earned Brunson $4,428 and placed him one step closer to qualifying for the Clarks Hill Lake Regional Championship in Appling, Ga., Oct. 15-17, where he could ultimately win a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck.

A new Minnesota law requiring boaters to stay clear of enforcement watercraft with their emergency lights flashing goes into effect on July 1. The so-called move-over law is intended to provide the same protection for watercraft enforcement officers as similar laws do for police, State Patrol and other emergency response personnel.
