Longtime female professional angler, Pam Martin-Wells, won the Academy Sports + Outdoors Women’s Bassmaster Tour season opener on Neely Henry Lake on March 28, 2009. Her three day total weight of 38 pounds, 10 ounces bested Tammy Richardson’s total of 38 pounds, 3 ounces by the narrow margin of 7 ounces.
