A one fish daily bag limit in both rivers was included in 2008 regulations approved Friday by the Columbia River Compact, a joint Oregon-Washington authority formed by Congress to oversee fishing in the Columbia.

Whitewater State Park to Begin Reopening

As spring approaches, parts of Whitewater State Park in southeastern Minnesota are being restored and will soon be open for use.
Last August, a flash flood caused more than $4 million in damages to the park’s infrastructure including roads, bridges, campgrounds, group camps, picnic areas, trails and stream crossings. Flood recovery efforts are underway and will continue through the summer.
