(Long Beach, CA) – The Seal Beach Yacht Club was the location for the second annual Fishing Season Kick-Off Party fundraiser, benefiting the Daniel Hernandez Youth Foundation.
Captain John Grabowski was the main speaker for the night and was both very educating and entertaining. Grabowski spoke about his love of fishing as a kid and how important fishing has been to him in his life. He also spoke about long range tuna fishing.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) awarded more than $1.7 million in Recreational Trail Program grants for 37 trail development and maintenance projects. “These projects will help expand and preserve current trail recreation opportunities in Minnesota,” said Andrew Korsberg, DNR Trail Program coordinator.

A Kittson County District Court judge has found a man guilty of illegally operating an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in a state wildlife management area (WMA).
Deploying cameras in areas where illegal cross-county ATV travel was occurring in three WMAs in Kittson and Marshall counties, DNR officials filmed Richard M. Bailey, 66, Mound, Minn., on two separate occasions illegally operating an ATV in the Beaches Lake Wildlife Management Area near Karlstad in northwestern Minnesota.

The NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Hackettstown State Fish Hatchery overwintered approximately 3,500 extra 12″ channel catfish for stocking this spring. Bureau of Freshwater Fisheries biologists from the Lebanon Field Office assessed the existing fall channel catfish stocking list made up of about 70 different waterbodies and picked 11 to receive these surplus holdover catfish in 2007.
