Many of the lakes in Utah are excellent places to fish, but you can’t get to them with a truck or a car. The Uinta Mountains alone have more than 650 fishable lakes. The best way to stock many of these valuable fisheries—and sometimes the only way to stock them—is from the air.

Click on the author/publication link.For the past two weeks, I have been making the run to the Canadian waters of Lake Erie, often times not even seeing another boat, and fishing remote shoals and rock piles for trophy Bronzebacks. We have been rewarded with a number of 70+ fish days. Most of the Smallies are 3 pound average, but there are many 4 pounders, a few 5 pounders and the occassional 6 or 7 pounder.
